Shared Vision & Future
The Ts’il Kaz Koh Territory Stewardship Plan (TSP) is a high level, strategic plan that communicates Ts’il Kaz Koh’s values and priorities for the stewardship. Our TSP applies throughout Ts’il Kaz Koh’s territory, and was developed through discussion with our members, elected and hereditary leadership, and staff to:
Program Goals Under the Comprehensive Community Plan
Manage overlapping Territory boundaries with neighbouring Nations.
Identify and protect areas where there are traditional foods and medicines through the implementation of our TSP.
Empower younger generations with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold our rights and responsibilities to the land, and ensure its sustainable management for the future.
Develop partnerships with our neighbours (e.g., with the Village of Burns Lake, Regional District of Buckley-Nechako, neighbouring Nations etc.).
Enhance awareness and understanding of our rights and responsibilities to the land among our members
Develop an environmental monitoring program, including dedicated staff positions and training
