Land Based Program
The TKK Land-Based Program creates opportunities for community members to reconnect with the land, culture, and traditional ways of living. Grounded in the understanding that the land is an important source of healing, knowledge, and identity, the program encourages participation in activities that strengthen relationships with the natural world and with one another.
Through seasonal outings, cultural teachings, harvesting activities, and hands-on learning experiences, community members of all ages can spend time on the land while learning traditional skills, practices, and knowledge. The program provides meaningful opportunities for connection, wellness, and cultural continuity, helping strengthen community ties and support overall well-being.
The Land-Based Program is open to all community members and is intended to create inclusive and accessible opportunities for people to gather, learn, heal, and reconnect with the land.

Empower younger generations with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold our rights and responsibilities to the land, and ensure its sustainable management for the future.
Create access to traditional tools, teachings, and medicines (e.g., teach regalia-making to support cultural events).
Enhance awareness and understanding of our rights and responsibilities to the land among our members.
